A: A web browser is a piece of software through which you access the Internet. All versions of Windows come with a free built -in browser. Examples of web browsers are Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, AOL (America On Line), and Netscape Navigator.
Don’t get your web browser mixed up with your Internet Service Provider. Examples of Internet Service Providers include Comcast, Bellsouth, Adelphia, and Verizon.
